Need for a pause

Detox


 Like we need SUNDAY after a long hard working week, even our body also needs a break from all kinds of healthy and unhealthy food that we eat and hence it is important to detox at least once in a week and give the much needed break to our digestive system and let our body clean itself to get the energy to function effectively for the rest of the week.

           Detox actually means cleansing of body and should be done at least once a week for physical and mental recovery; it removes toxins & poison that accumulate in the body because of non –organic processed food that we eat these days. In simpler words detox is calorie restriction to clean the impurities from your system and giving your body the food which takes minimum efforts to digest like raw fruits and vegetables.

            Drinking a lot of water to detox is important as that speed up the process of flushing of toxins but it does not mean to be on liquid diet for a day which is unhealthy too as your body needs food to live and function smoothly.

Eat, Burn & Record

Do you think leaving carbs & switching on to fruits, salad or protein diet is a solution to your weight problem, if u think "YES" than the bitter truth is a big "NO"

"The solution of it lies in knowing how much to eat rather than what to eat".

So first and foremost know how many calorie your body need on a daily basis to carry out your routine work without you feeling low. Once you know how much you are required to eat, divide that into your meals and keep most of it for breakfast and lunch and very little for your dinner. Follow this and you will gradually notice that you are feeling light and healthy and weighing scale will be static, this is the best and simple way to maintain weight but if you want to loose the extra weight that you are carrying then also make the additional habit of working out as there is no short cut to loose and maintain weight. Last but not the least be regular & keep a record so that you know if you are on track or not !!!

So the key mantra for loosing and maintaining weight is to know:

  • How much to EAT
  • How much to BURN
  • And last but not the least RECORD
