Like we need SUNDAY after a long hard working week,
even our body also needs a break from all kinds of healthy and unhealthy food
that we eat and hence it is important to detox at least once in a week and give
the much needed break to our digestive system and let our body clean itself to
get the energy to function effectively for the rest of the week.
Detox actually means cleansing of body and should be
done at least once a week for physical and mental recovery; it removes toxins
& poison that accumulate in the body because of non –organic processed food
that we eat these days. In simpler words detox is calorie restriction to clean
the impurities from your system and giving your body the food which takes minimum
efforts to digest like raw fruits and vegetables.
Drinking a lot of water to detox is important as that
speed up the process of flushing of toxins but it does not mean to be on liquid
diet for a day which is unhealthy too as your body needs food to live and
function smoothly.
