Too Much or Too Less


Recognition is something that everybody longs for, a very common human nature. May be because we are always been told and expected about it even from the time we didn’t know the meaning of it. Let me share some common scenarios to put my point forward:

Scenario 1: As infants or kids, we all were expected to show case whatever our parents taught us like say the first word you spoke, show if you can walk & showcase what you have learnt in school, be it ABC, numbers, poems etc. Every parent feels so good about it.

Scenario 2: When we reach school/college, we are again told that studies are important and so are extra - circular activities and everybody expects us to be decently good in both and we also tries our level best for that. I hope you all agree with me.

Scenario 3: When we start working, we encounter a very common saying “work hard and party harder” and we tries to perform with best of our capabilities again for recognition for our work as it’s going to give us increment and promotions and being equally social at work as well, as that’s also equally important for the two. Correct me if I am wrong????
  
Scenario 4: Last but not the least, is the family and social commitment because “as work is important, so is family”. And as very common human nature, we always wants to be in good books of most of the people around and hence we always strive hard to do and manage things to best of our capabilities. ?????

May be because we have been brought up this way, we are in most of the cases are jack of all trades and ends up managing study, work, family etc pretty decently well in our own ways.

Q. You all must be thinking why am I sharing all this which you all already know or is this my today’s blog ?
A. Actually Not!!!

The blog is about what I am writing now. The outcome of the entire 4 scenarios I discussed is either TOO MUCH or TOO LESS. By this I mean, because you are jack of all trades and do so much, there are two things that’s happen with YOU, either you start taking care of yourself all the more, because you think you deserves it, which mean excessive work-out at times, too much of food & beverages & bla bla bla. Or you don’t take care of yourself at all as you think you don’t have time so no work-out, no time for food etc etc etc…..80% of people falls into either of the above two scenarios.


And if you also think you are a part of any of the above 2, its high time you should change and to INDULGE WITH YOURSELF & I really look forward to hear from you.

Maintenance Required


Anything & everything in the world have a life span and it also requires maintenance be it a living or a non-living thing. With non-living materialistic things, you have a choice to replace or exchange but with all living things you don’t have that liberty of choice, hence it becomes all the more important for living things to maintain them a bit more. Though living things can be many but here my context is YOU & ME.

We as human being have many things to manage together all the time, be it our work & money or be it our family & relationships, everything needs maintenance. But why we forget so is our WELLNESS, doesn’t that need maintenance too. If our work needs our time and efforts for us to earn money and maintain a standard of living or be it the commitment it requires for family and relationships, it’s the same with WELLNESS too. It also needs our own time, effort & commitment for our own self maintenance so that we can deliver the first two more effectively.

We often in performing & excelling the first two, always ends up neglecting our own self & forget to maintain us, which in turns results either in ill health or in getting frustrated with whatever we do and hence most of the time after certain age we always find ourselves looking for that self satisfaction and it’s the same story with most of us.


But the biggest mistake we still do is finding that satisfaction always outside where as if we invest a little time in our self to maintain us, WELLNESS will be reality. Break the Monotony of Excuses !!!


80% of people out of 100 are always worried about their wellness, they make promises to themselves every now & than, every New Year they make resolution that they will take care of themselves a little more this year, will join gym, yoga classes or control their diets & blab la bla ….. But the ground reality remains the same and they again end up making the same promises year after year.

Q – Do you know the reason why???

A – EXCUSES it is

That’s the reason why most of us fail in our approach to WELLNESS. As even before thinking about it, we have hundreds of excuses ready for why we can’t do it or we say, it is just not possible with us and hence few of us can’t even start and those who atleast start; goes back to square one after a while as excuses are the easiest escape route to it.

Still time to time we accumulate the desire to initiate our WELLNESS journey and we even start it with a lot of enthusiasm as well but after a while, because of a genuine reason we have to break it but that genuine break in your wellness journey is not the problem. The actual problem is taking that genuine break as excuses and not starting your journey again, thinking it will happen again and not finding the possible solution for it & that’s what the real issue is with most of us.

But as they say “where there is a will, there is a way


And hence there always a solution to all the problems and you can find the solution to your excuses with INDULGE with YOURSELF. So, let’s break the monotony of excuses and get on to the WELLNESS journey.

You can't delegate WELLNESS


Wellness is something which you can’t delegate; rest all other things you have the choice to delegate, be it an office work deadline or daily household chores. You always have a choice to either divide it and do it in breaks, or simply delegate it to others. For this all you need is better time management skills and a good supervision and you can easily handle your work well along with your wellness.

But if there is something which you have no choice to delegate, that is your own WELLNESS. There is no possibility that somebody else can eat on your behalf and your stomach gets full or possibly can work-out for you and you get the benefits of it. Till the time science finds a possible solution for it, you only have to make an extra effort for it along with all the other important responsibilities which you have to fulfill.

Good thing about WELLNESS is; what if you can’t delegate it, you can always customize it as per your schedules and it always give you more results than the efforts you make if you are consistent with it and follow it with just a bit of discipline.


So all you have to do is make your WELLNESS interesting in your own way, combine it with things you love doing and fall in love with it with no looking back but with discipline and consistency and you will see that you are being transformed in a BETTER YOU.
